The abducted APC president has been found dead.
Nigeria online news reports that the chairman of the Nasarawa state section of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Philip Shekwor, who was abducted by unknown gunmen on Saturday, November 21, was found dead.
This online news outlet had previously reported that the abduction of the APC president that occurred on Saturday night in Lafia was confirmed by the commissioner of the state police command, Bola Longe, in a telephone interview with journalists on Sunday.
CP Longe had said that Shekwor was abducted by a large number of armed men from his residence in Lafia around 11pm on Saturday and was taken to an unknown destination.
However, hours after his abduction, news has emerged that the abducted APC president has been found dead.
Meanwhile, the Congress of All Progressives (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has yet to react to the death of the abducted APC president.
