Lekki Shootings: CCTV Reveals Soldiers Arrived In Seven Trucks

As investigations continue, new details have emerged about the unfortunate events that occurred at the Lekki toll gate during the #EndSARS protests.

According to The PUNCH, the Lagos State Judicial Investigation Panel investigating the alleged killing of #EndSARS protesters by soldiers at the Lekki tollbooth on the night of October 20 Saturday resumed viewing a CCTV video presented by Lekki Concession Company, toll operators.

The footage showed the scene was calm until approximately 6.43pm, when people could be seen running towards the tollbooth from the end of the Oriental Hotel.

Two minutes later, at 6:45 p.m., military trucks with flashing lights arrived at the scene. There were no less than seven of them.

At 6.53 pm, about 10 minutes after the arrival of the military vehicles, the toll was turned off.

Two minutes later, at 6.55 pm, one of the military vehicles passed through the toll gate to the other end where the crowd of protesters gathered.
